Painting Labs Guidelines

Clean up your work area when you leave.

Do not put paint of any kind down the drains. Rinsing brushes in the sinks is permitted, but clean excess paint off your tools with a rag before rinsing.

DO NOT CLEANUP IN THE RESTROOM SINKS! Use the sinks provided in the painting labs.

Use the large painting wall near room 2418 for all outdoor work.

Use a dropcloth if your project will create a mess on the walkway or floor.

Clearly label all containers of paint and solvent with the containers contents.

Turpentine, odorless mineral spirits and paint thinners are not permitted in the Painting Labs.

Use Turpenoid Natural for oil paint cleanup. Put used Turpenoid Natural in the disposal bucket labeled "Turpenoid Natural Only!".
