The mstudio is located in Building 479 (the Old Gym), in room 1239.

The mstudio is the Department’s 2D digital input and output lab. It is equipped to handle the input of a variety of flat media, including film and over sized documents. The output capabilities include laser print, large format inkjet, and vinyl cuts. The lab is accessible during scheduled open hours which change quarterly.

During open hours any currently enrolled art student can use the lab to work on art projects. Our printers aren’t for printing homework, essays, etc.

Users that show they have enough experience and ability to work in the lab without help, who are responsible and trustworthy, can request a key for access beyond open hours.

All printing and vinyl cutting needs to be recorded and paid for.  Prices cover the cost of consumables and maintenance, and are lower than comparable work from service bureaus in the area. That’s because you do the work. The assistants are here to help but not to do your work for you.
